JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Oracle DBA, you will be responsible for evaluating existing or proposed systems to ensure structure and access to databases.

Your specific duties in this role will include:

• Execute database design, creation, and maintenance on a project by project basis.
• Install/Configure/Maintain Apache Cloudera Hadoop Eco system on Linux Platform
• Perform Active Directory integration on Hadoop Cluster with secure SSO or LDAP services for authentication.
• Create and administer YARN resource pools with different scheduling policies.
• Analyze requirements of the business customer, applications programming, and operations to ensure success of the final product produced.
• Collaborate with Senior DBA members as needed specific to solutions that require definition of the physical structure and functional capabilities of databases and require data security and data backup/recovery.
• Execute performance tuning, capacity planning, and back-up/recovery activities on behalf of the department.
• Coordinate research, planning and implementation of new database installations, upgrades and patches.
• Control system capacity for existing requirements and plan for future needs.
• Facilitate root cause analysis on database issues as required.
• Maintain technical documentation relating to database management.
• Review/audit overall system security and data integrity to assure alignment with organizational and business partner goals and/or initiatives.
• Define and develop a database monitoring facility on behalf of the department.
• Participate in on-call rotation
• Automation of regular Database Administration tasks.

Specific qualifications for the role include:

• Minimum High School Diploma and 3 years' experience in information technology to include database design and implementation. Experience should also be inclusive of administration of multiple instances of an Oracle 12c database with exposure to Multitenant architecture, RAC, Data Guard, Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) and data modeling experience. s' degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of database encryption
• Knowledge of Oracle Rman backup
• Good knowledge and understanding of tools like Hive, Impala, Sqoop, Flume, Kafka, HBase, SOLR
• Experience in working with File formats like Avro, Parquet
• Technical knowledge of high availability, standby, backup and recovery, large database management, compression and partitioning.
• Strong Knowledge of database concepts, performance tuning, proactive monitoring, and problem solving and analyzing traces using various tools
• Ability to automate Database Adminstration tasks using Ansible/Shell/Perl/Python.
• Knowledge of operating system scripting and clustering
• Experience in using OEM for monitoring
• Experience with MongoDB and other big data technologies is a plus
• Understanding of DevOps approach is a plus
• Communication (written, verbal and listening), organization, documentation, problem solving, and project management skills

We are currently looking for a contract (W2) Production Support Engineer to work in either of our Rockville, MD, Bedford, MA, Naperville, IL or NYC offices. This is expected to last 6-12 months with the possibility of extension and/or a full-time opportunity on staff. Please note: our offices are currently closed due to the pandemic and our employees are working from home. Once our offices reopen, this position will transition to working from one of the locations listed above.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a contract Production Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical support of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes. This includes the daily monitoring of EDI file processing, claims processing, the troubleshooting of issues impacting successful receipt or delivery of client files and successful repricing of claims, the setup and testing of new trading partners, and general customer support of issues called in to the Service Desk.

Your specific job duties will include:

1. Oversee the production support of high-profile EDI trading partners.

• Monitor the production environment and proactively prioritize, communicate, and resolve any EDI process or system issues.
• Support any issues that are raised or escalated through Account Management or executive leadership
• Ability to assess ramification of issues and prioritize tasks based on business impact
• Ability to evaluate production situations and current information to determine the appropriate course of action and execute decisions

2. Communicate system and interface availability, modifications, and problems to internal and external stakeholders as needed and according to established policies and procedures

• Offer clear and accurate interpretation of industry-driven changes to internal and external contacts when solicited.
• Proactively communicate updates to internal and external contacts as regulations dictate

3. Leverage technical expertise and communication skills to monitor production processes, resolve issues quickly and implement process improvements

• Use access to data and personal observation to identify potential process improvement opportunities.
• Understand the data and perform data analysis to support building new reports and modify existing reports
• Partner with Applications Development or other operational areas to successfully implement enhancements or fixes that will provide value to our EDI clients
• Communicate potential solutions to management.
• Implement solutions independently or collaboratively.
• Report progress and measurements of success to management

4. Perform routine and ad hoc analysis of various facets of EDI processing including but not limited to system performance, claim turnaround times, data mapping, and claim volumes. Also support clients and trading partners with their non-standard requests for ad hoc reports, testing analysis and other technical deliverables

5. Provide direction to Level I staff.

• Coach staff needing assistance with production support issues.
• Help staff learn how to troubleshoot issues and practice effective analytic techniques.
• Create knowledgebase that can be used for training Level 1 staff

6. Provide coverage for other team members as needed; some on call support duties may be required on a part time or rotating basis.

7. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.

8. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or the equivalent combination of work experience and technical training

2. 1+ year experience in a technical production or applications support role

3. Basic understanding of at least three items in the below list

This position develops and maintains automated application code build/deployment solutions to incorporate streamlined workflows into the release processes. REQUIREMENTS

This role is responsible for securing the organization's cloud services. The role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to understand the cloud services and ensure they are configured and align with existing information security policies, roadmaps and architecture.

Your specific duties in this role will include:

• Investigate and analyze existing cloud structures and create new and enhanced security methods that will enhance the security of cloud-based environments.
• Design, implement and maintain cloud security infrastructure and cloud security technologies to protect sensitive data including PHI.
• Improve and develop new designs and security strategies across all types of cloud-based applications (including infrastructure, platform, and software as a service)
• Integrate cloud security technologies with existing tools sets such as but not limited to existing SIEM, EDR, DLP and IAM solutions.
• Coordinate with enterprise architects and engineering teams to ensure existing and new cloud services align to stated policies, audit requirements and industry best practices.
